MURAZZI – UNA STORIA VERA

In Turin there is a place that followed the developments for 30 years of the artistic, social and cultural aspects of the city.

A place that has for years expressed the desire to change Turin. The Murazzi come to life in the 80s with historic clubs like Doctor Sax and Giancarlo, that were the precursors of all that happen in the years later, on the river Po.

The first musicians that arrived were: Subsonica, Africa Unite, Mau Mau and many others, which started the slow cultural and musical change in Turin. In the 90s the Murazzi were in fashion and became the expression of the so-called nightlife.

The arches were filled with bars and restaurants, with administrative procedures that still intrigue today. It all ended in a cold November day in 2012, with the funeral of Murazzi.

The future is uncertain for those spaces of creativity and madness, that nowadays remain only a faded memory.
