In March 2019, the sixth edition of the Torino Underground Cinefest, an international film festival created and directed by the Italian director Mauro Russo Rouge, will return.
In the last edition 25 to 27 March 2018 the festival has recorded a resounding success with the public. Almost 2,000 spectators in 3 days of event and a significant media visibility through all channels (TV, radio, press and magazines / portals / online blogs). The fifth edition obtained the success even in several Italian regions and not just in Piedmont: this is an aspect that allows the festival to consider itself as a national event.
For its sixth edition, the festival event will last for five days, to offer more time for insights with the authors.
The VI TUC will be held in a very important location for the Turin “Cinema” universe, which is located in the heart of the city, in Piazza Vittorio Veneto 5, at the marvelous Cinema Classico.
Cash prizes are awarded for the best feature film and for the best short film. Also, special awards will be assigned to: best director, best actor, best actress, best photography, best sound designer. It there will be an audience award and mentions assigned by our media partners.
The Torino Underground Cinefest aims to enhance and disseminate a type of subversive and unorthodox cinema, without excluding more traditional languages and aesthetics. The event will respond to the need for truth and new codes that the cinematographic public increasingly finds it necessary.
The festival counts on the help of media-partnerships and cultural partners in the area.
There are no limits except the limits everyone will put to himself!
“ Unlike all the other art forms, film is able to seize and render the passage of time, to stop it, almost to possess it in infinity. I’d say that film is the sculpting of time.”
– Andrei Tarkovsky
