Anna is under pressure. “Smile”. Anna has a home. “Insomnia”. Anna has a job. “Nine to five, I’m gonna be late”. Anna has friends. “I’m bored”. Anna’s parents love her. “Open up”. Anna can’t sleep. “I’m so horny”. Anna is scared. “Talk to me. Talk to me.”
Anna, a detached and introvert woman in her early 30s, keeps finding Post-It notes with countdown numbers stuck on her door, triggering a series of events that will shatter her mental health. When a man starts stalking her, Anna suspects everyone she knows, clashing with friends and family. Her meeting with her stalker will be the only way out.
“BLISS” is a tragicomic glance at the life of a young woman, viewed through a distorted perception of reality.
Director Biography – Christos Pitharas: Born in 1981, he blames his grandmother and their weekends together for making him love the bloody thriller of the 80s. Graduate of Film Directing from Edinburgh College of Art. He has directed eight short films, three plays and music videos. He is the main instructor of the practical directing workshops of Filmschool.gr. “Bliss” is his first feature film.
