“Dentro il Collettivo” is an exciting journey about the uncertain border between legality and justice. It tells the story of the social centre Art Lab Occupato. In 2011, a collective of students occupied a building of the University of Parma that was abandoned for 20 years. Protected by those walls, they feel they can change the world together. In the following seven years, these young people have created many social projects: a school to teach Italian to foreigners, a bike workshop, an anti-racist football team, and many other cultural events. However, reacting and building a different future also call for the clash. Strong actions such as the occupation of the Parma incinerator and the old hospital re-open a debate on environmental issues and building speculation in town. But firmly believing in certain values and strongly pursuing them also involves some personal risks, and raising the bar of confrontation has a cost. Will Art Lab be able to obtain a recognition for all the work done?
