HEWNO BERENG – (COLORLESS DREAM)

Being surrounded by the dark political events in Kurdistan of Turkey at 1990’s as a child, Mirza cannot escape from being a victim of those devastating events that have been in existence for a long time. He is overclouded with deep misery and after his mother’s death, Mirza becomes a passive and introverted child who struggles with bad dreams. However, his life changes upon arrival of a guest named Mir Ahmed. Mir Ahmed and Mirza develop friendship after Mir Ahmed’s persistent effort, by the way of this friendship Mirza changes to social and extravorted personality. At this chaotic atmosphere of Turkey, after Mir Ahmed’s death Mirza becomes a self-closed child, again. At the final point, Mirza is a prototype child of Kurdish society from 1990’s to ongoing days.

 

Director Biography – Mehmet Ali Konar

He was born 25,07,1982 in Bingöl City. He has graduated from The Marmara University, Communication Faculty. He has been working short-term as a Reji Assistent in long metraj Documents and Movies. He wrote Comedies for Television. He speaks fluently Turkish, English, Italian and 2 Kurdish Dialects. ‘BABA’ Short Film Screenwriter and Director (İnternational Patras city FF-Greece 2010) ‘HEWNO BERENG’ -Colorless Dream- Feature Film, Screenwriter and Director (in Festival process).
